Frequently asked questions

What is Symetis?

Symetis is the sovereign AI offering powered by ACENSI Canada, in Montréal. It brings together ready-to-use specialised AI agents, open-source models installed on your premises or hosted in Québec, and AI development teams.

Where is Symetis data hosted?

All of Symetis' infrastructure is physically hosted in Québec, in Canadian data centres. No data is transferred outside Canada in the standard offer.

Is Symetis compliant with Law 25?

Yes. Symetis is designed for compliance with Québec's Law 25, the European GDPR and Canada's PIPEDA: hosting in Québec, encryption at rest and in transit, no transfer outside Canada in the standard offer.

What do the Symetis AI agents do?

Symetis offers ten specialised AI agents: Idal'IA (IT support levels 0-1-2), Mar'IA (municipal citizen desk), Sof'IA (document search) and Oliv'IA (recruitment and CV screening). Each one absorbs the repetitive tasks of a specific function.

Can the models be installed in our own infrastructure?

Yes. Symetis deploys the open-source models best suited to your case directly inside your infrastructure, or hosts them for you in Québec. Either way, your data stays under your control.

Who is behind Symetis?

Symetis is powered by ACENSI Canada, an IT consulting firm based in Montréal and the Canadian office of the ACENSI Group: 2,500 consultants, 21 offices, 11 countries. acensi.group

Does Symetis work with Anthropic?

Yes. Symetis integrates Anthropic's Claude models within controlled environments, alongside open-source models hosted in Québec.

Is the service available in French?

Yes. The service is bilingual, French first, in accordance with Bill 96. The teams work in French and in English, in Montréal and remotely.

What security certifications cover Symetis' infrastructure?

The infrastructure is hosted in Québec and compliant with Law 25, the GDPR and PIPEDA. The ACENSI group is ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 9001 (quality) certified. For SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA requirements, we support our clients: the applications we deliver meet them.

What is Symetis' twin-model architecture?

Every task handed to an agent or the AI development team runs through two models: one executes (generates the code, the answer), the other reviews and validates it. This dual-model review is built for quality and reliability, with human validation at every critical step.

Can the AI agents integrate with our existing tools?

Yes. Depending on the agent: email and ITSM (Jira, ServiceNow), Active Directory directories, document management systems (DMS), applicant tracking systems (ATS), collection calendars or municipal permit portals. Each integration is detailed on the relevant agent's page.

How long does an AI audit and costing take?

A complete audit in 15 days. Our Montréal experts map your workflows on site, identify automation opportunities and deliver a costed, prioritised action plan.

How long does it take to deploy an AI agent?

Symetis' 10 AI agents (Idal'IA, Mar'IA, Sof'IA, Oliv'IA, Patric'IA, Luc'IA, Son'IA, Cynth'IA, Cél'IA, Tan'IA) are available and deployable within weeks, integrated with your existing tools (email, ITSM, DMS, ATS depending on the agent).

What is Symetis' AI development team?

A virtual team of AI developers available 24/7 that turns your ideas into software through a Spec → Code → Tests → Prod pipeline, with human validation at every critical step and a complete audit trail.

Can Symetis modernise our existing code?

Yes, through the reverse-engineering offering: secure extraction of your repositories and dependencies, business logic reconstructed by a pair of models (one executes, the other validates), automated security tests and living documentation, up to a costed modernisation plan.

What AI models make up Symetis' sovereign catalogue?

The catalogue covers eight capabilities: text and reasoning, code, vision-language, OCR, voice, image, video and search/RAG, with models such as Mistral Small 4, Devstral Small 2, olmOCR 2 and Voxtral Realtime, all run on Symetis' sovereign infrastructure, with no external API.

What's the difference between the AI agents and the AI development team?

The AI agents (Idal'IA, Mar'IA, Sof'IA, Oliv'IA, Patric'IA, Luc'IA, Son'IA, Cynth'IA, Cél'IA, Tan'IA) are specialised colleagues already built, ready to use for specific tasks. The AI development team, by contrast, custom-builds complete software from your requirements, with human validation at every step.
